This antique vanity was in pretty good shape but it was missing its bench seat. Luckily Larissa found one for a few dollars at a yard sale and transformed them both into a stunning set with paint, new fabric, and metallic accents. Visit Prodigal Pieces to learn all about this lovely vanity makeover.

ActuallyI was wondering what info you have- if any- on the vanity itself . I have the EXACT same one I purchased over15 years ago and despite my efforts I have not been able to find much on it other than approximate age based on some if it’s features, but I’ve never seen the exact same one with the lowered shelf inthe middle

I only know that it is roughly a 1920’s dressing table and no resource as to the maker or designer. Sorry, I’m not much help! 🙂

I have one almost exactly like this, the design on the drawer is the only difference I can see. I got the whole bedroom set, this piece, the bed and a dresser after my grandmother passed 22 years ago. From what I’ve been told she and my grandfather purchased it when they were first married, and if I remember correctly they had 65 years together before she passed. I’d love any more info as well, if possible.

I wish I knew more, but I only know the rough age. When I find things second-hand, I try to get as much of the history behind it as possible, and this one didn’t have one. You have quite a treasure! Enjoy.
