Stacey was lucky enough to get this coffee table for free from her neighbor, but she had no idea what she was going to do with it. (I know how hard it is to turn down free furniture!) Finally inspiration struck and she realized it was the perfect size for extra seating and storage at the end of her bed. Some paint, a new upholstered seat, and cute baskets turned this into a stylish and functional piece. Visit Addison Meadows Lane for the full tutorial how this outdated coffee table became an upholstered bench.

Ha ha! This is so amazing, I can’t believe it! Last week someone gave me an almost identical coffee table; only the doors are different! I thought my daughter might use it as she’s just moved out of home, but she didn’t want it. I put it on the council strip but no-one else wanted it either, so I brought it back into my garage. Then I said the The Hubby, “You know what? That’d be really nice with an upholstered cushion on it, and put at the end of the bed”. And there it is! The perfect example! I love it! It looks really great and, yes, I will follow through now!
Thanks you so much for sharing this! I feel really inspired now. Cannot believe it’s so similar, especially given I’m in another country on the other side of the world.
Thanks again, Liz (Australia).
