If at first you don’t succeed…
Lisa gave this antique buffet a blue makeover but afterward she hated it! In order to change it but not start completely over, she “added some patina colors, some darker blues in there to blend. Then I painted the wooden trim on the drawers and doors in a metallic copper. The handles were cleaned and sprayed with metallic paint and then I added some patina, black, and copper wax to them. I sanded the top and found some beautiful mahogany wood so I sealed that and didn’t stain it!”
Blended blues with gold accents really make this a striking buffet makeover. Have you tried anything like this before? See more of Lisa’s creativity on her Facebook page at Timeless Furniture Resto by Lisa.

OMG!!! That looks like a $6000 work of art! You’re incredibly talented! Your work really intimidates me but also inspires me to get better at upcycling the old, tired furnishings in my home.

I did a similar buffet that had the #$%^ beaten out of it in the past. I sanded the top and stained it cherry. The body I painted a rich black. Bought some really dark cool pulls at our local hardware store. It turned out beautifully. It took me about a week off and on in the garage. I wish it could tell me its story.
