Julie gave this beat up chest the color and character it deserved. First she applied drywall compound over a stencil to add texture to the drawer fronts, and then she transferred an image of one of her watercolor paintings into a circle in the middle. She says “I painted the drawers in buttercup yellow then applied a wash of cadmium red acrylic paint. The whole thing was then ‘aged’ with General Finishes java gel, applied and immediately wiped off.”
